SEDATION & ANESTHESIA
Sedation & Anesthesia Services
Our top priority is to address your child's dental needs in a manner that reduces the likelihood of a traumatic experience. We prefer not to have children grow up to be afraid to go to the dentist as adults.
It is important that both the dental team and the family become active participants to lessen dental fear and anxiety. Children are very sensitive and pick up on the emotional state of everyone around them.
We utilize the following sedation and anesthesia techniques to successfully render dental treatment for patients for whom other techniques are not successful or indicated.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
(Laughing Gas)
Indicated for patients with mild anxiety or fearfulness. Helps reduce anxiety, enhances communication & cooperation, reduces pain sensation, and reduces gagging.
IV Sedation
In-office through PDAA
For very young, fearful, or uncooperative children. A deep sleep that insulates your child from stress and discomfort. Provided by a medically trained, board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist.

Preventive dentistry is the practice of caring for your teeth to keep them healthy, clean, and white. This helps you avoid cavities, gum disease, enamel wear, and other issues as you age which directly affects your overall body health.
Preventative dental care especially benefits children because it allows their newly developing adult teeth to come in strong and healthy. It also helps create better conditions for overall health and decreases their risk for certain systemic conditions affected by oral bacteria.
