We are a mercury-safe office and use fluoride-free dental materials. We are committed to using the most biocompatible materials for your individual needs through biocompatibility testing.

Meet the Doctor
Dr. Maria Evelina Guerrero
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Evy graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio in 2008 and received her pediatric dentistry specialty certificate in 2010 from the same institution.
Dr. Evy was faced with unexplained health problems five years after graduating from her specialty program. Medical problems inexplicable by conventional medical methods and testing. Determined to find the root cause she discovered that some of the dental materials used in dentistry had contributed, in part, to her condition. This discovery resulted in Green Apple's transition from a conventional dental philosophy into a biocompatible holistic pediatric dental office.
She is fully dedicated to her practice, continually furthering her education in holistic pediatric dentistry, braces (orthodontics), airway and craniofacial variations exacerbated by dental malocclusions and underdevelopment of the orofacial complex.
Dr. Evy has performed more than 6,600 laser frenectomy procedures since 2014 for newborn babies, children, and adolescents. She trained in tethered-oral-tissue release with Dr. Lawrence Kotlow in 2014 and holds laser dentistry certifications through the Texas Dental Association (2014), the Academy of Laser Dentistry (2015), and LightScalpel (2020). She has treated her own babies who were struggling to feed properly and suffered from the symptoms that come from restricted tongue and lip ties.
In 2014, Dr. Evy became the first pediatric dentist to form a collaborative group of specialists (lactation consultants, midwives, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, dentists, doulas, and craniosacral therapists) in the greater Austin and San Antonio area to treat newborns and children in a collaborative fashion. She presented at the La Leche League of Texas annual meeting in San Antonio in 2016 and has spoken to pediatrician offices, lactation practices, chiropractors, speech therapists, and parenting groups throughout her career, both in person and virtually.
She believes in truthful medically needed dentistry and is committed to providing your child with oral care that is necessary for the appropriate age, stage of development, and extent of decay present. She has a genuine interest in helping your children achieve overall health throughout their childhood, adolescence, and ultimately into adulthood.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Evy is able to communicate with an extended range of patients and has participated in numerous dental mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and within Texas.
Outside of work, Dr. Evy loves spending time with her husband and two children. She is a former runner and triathlete. She loves to garden and grow her own herbs, vegetables, and flowers. She loves taking short RV trips to the hill country, hiking, and watching movies with her family. Her favorite activity is teaching her children the Christian faith and reading books on natural medicine & herbs.

Receptionist & Dental Assistant
Ayleen first came to Green Apple as a parent, bringing her son to see Dr. Evy for treatment. She was so moved by the care her family received that when she saw the office was hiring, she jumped at the chance. Outside of work she loves organizing and watching documentaries. "It's really rewarding to be part of a team that makes a difference for kids and families."

Maria comes from Dripping Springs and was drawn to Green Apple through her passion for holistic care. An avid reader, soccer player, and fitness enthusiast — and the proud sister of seven siblings — she says what keeps her coming back is "the energy, the smiles, and most of all, the patients!"

A Dripping Springs native, Jasmine wears many hats at Green Apple — from chairside care to curating the practice's social media presence. A talented musician, painter, and international public speaking competitor, she's passionate about holistic medicine and the relationships she's built with the team and families.
